Investing Daily’s Top Profit Predictions for 2022
Who would have thought just 10 years ago most of us would have tiny “super computers” in our pocket or purse at nearly every waking moment — devices capable of accessing virtually all of the world’s knowledge?
Needless to say, early investors in Apple (Nasdaq: AAPL) came out alright on that game-changer.
Just 15 years ago, Blockbuster was a household name. But now you’ll find it in the antique store with dial-up internet, as Blockbuster was usurped by a tiny upstart called Netflix (Nasdaq: NFLX) — another company that’s made shareholders a windfall.
All of that to say that some of the biggest profits on earth come to those willing to make bold moves on market moving trends before they hit headlines.
The list of game-changing opportunities never ends. In fact, in today’s environment — where information, ideas, and technology are spreading at the speed of light — the opportunities are greater than ever. Think of everything we know today that has changed over just the course of a few years:
Facebook became a household name… the cord cutting trend has invaded living rooms everywhere… electric vehicles have become commercially available… we’re on the cusp of curing genetic diseases with DNA sequencing… China transformed itself into a global power… emerging economies turned into the driving force of world economic growth… alternative energy captured the nation’s interest…
I could go on and on. But the important point is that I’d bet you wouldn’t have thought half this was possible a little more than a decade ago.
Of course, not all of these predictions will come true, and some of the stocks mentioned below may lose money — when you’re looking for game-changers like these, it comes with the territory. And that’s ok.
But if we can uncover even a handful of these gems before the rest of the crowd, the returns could be spectacular.
With that in mind, let’s get to the best profit opportunities we’ve uncovered for 2022…
1. Elon Musk will blanket the globe in High-Speed satellite Wi-Fi… But the big winner WON’T be SPACEX
Elon Musk’s SpaceX has revolutionized space exploration. It is the most audacious space program since NASA’s Apollo program.
SpaceX has racked up an impressive series of private company firsts: first to put a spaceship in orbit… first to land a rocket on a landing pad at seas… first to re-launch a used rocket… and first to launch a payload into orbit then land it back on Earth.
Now SpaceX has set its sights on utilizing space to blanket the world with high-speed internet.
A Massive Underserved Market
For many of us, the internet has become a utility of sorts. And if you live in a big city, access to internet comes without a second thought.
But you might be surprised to learn that roughly 20 million Americans alone still don’t have access to internet. And there’s roughly 100 million Americans who don’t have internet (whether it’s lack of access or don’t subscribe).
On a global scale, more than half of the world’s population doesn’t have access to the internet. This is mainly due to lack of infrastructure. After all it’s not cheap, nor feasible, to dig and lay hundreds of thousands of miles of cable or fiber optic lines.
But there’s another alternative: satellites.
And this is where SpaceX and its Starlink program come in. The Starlink program aims to solve the problem of millions of folks without access to internet. They plan on launching thousands of satellites, with the goal of selling an internet connection to almost anyone on the planet. No matter how remote their location.
Of course, we can’t invest directly in Starlink, and its IPO is likely still years away. But here’s how we can get in on this market before a single share of Starlink ever trades hands.
The company that’s making Starlink even possible is STMicroelectronics (Nasdaq: STM). Without this company, Starlink is likely dead in the water.
Headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland, STM is Europe’s largest chipmaker, with one of the broadest product portfolios in the industry. The company is a leader in the analog technologies segment — converting analog signals into useful real-world data applications.
Keep in mind that while STM might not be a household name, it’s been a reliant partner for some of the biggest technology companies around the globe. In fact, it’s the same company that provides components to Cupertino tech giant Apple (Nasdaq: AAPL).
Now Starlink has tabbed STM to manufacture its terminals, which Starlink has nicknamed, “Dishy McFlatface,” or for short just “dishy.”
So, what exactly is dishy?
Dishy is the terminal kit that consumers receive when they sign up for Starlink internet. Originally, Starlink was paying STM around $3,000 for each terminal, but that cost has come down to about $1,500.
Starlink only charges customers $499 for the device, then $99 a month for internet service. And despite still being in “beta” testing, Starlink already has more than 10,000 users in the United States and abroad.
Here’s what the terminal looks like:

It’s easy to see why there’s so much excitement surrounding Starlink. But remember, as exciting as all this is, it wouldn’t be possible without STM’s technology.
Without these terminals — built by STM — customers wouldn’t be able to establish a connection with all those satellites floating around in space.
While many folks are sitting around patiently waiting to invest in Starlink’s new technology, we can get early access through the company providing the technology.
The beauty with STM is that we’re not just getting this tremendous Starlink exposure… we’re getting a company that has its hands in a number of burgeoning technologies. As we already mentioned, it’s a key supplier to Apple, but also Cisco Systems (Nasdaq: CSCO), Intel (Nasdaq: INTC), and Tesla (Nasdaq: TSLA).
In other words, it’s a key supplier for the autonomous driving industry, Internet of Things (IoT), smartphones, 5G, and now Musk’s ambitious plan to blanket the world in internet.
Savvy investors have already been enjoying the stock’s stellar performance. Shares have doubled over the last two years and are up a whopping 660% since 2016:

These tailwinds combined with the added catalyst from the Starlink program should continue propelling shares to new heights, so don’t think you’ve missed the boat.
We believe things are just warming up for the company.
Buy shares of STMicroelectronics (STM) up to $52 per share.
2. The BIG winner in Crypto for 2022… won’t be Bitcoin
Many may know the story by now. But the evolution of bitcoin has been impressive…
In August 2008, someone anonymously registered the bitcoin.org domain name. It was the first known appearance of the word “bitcoin.”
Then in October 2008, a computer coder going by the name of Satoshi Nakamoto published a white paper describing the basics of bitcoin.
While we don’t really know the true identity of Satoshi, the real importance is that he developed a solution to the problem of trust with traditional currencies.
He developed a new form of money.
Today, bitcoin is the most well-known and popular cryptocurrency. This digital asset isn’t issued or controlled by any person or government. And it operates completely outside of the banking system.
This is paramount in a world under increasing assault by hackers, identity thieves and government surveillance. This is helping fuel the use of private digital “cryptocurrencies.”
Bitcoin may be the most fascinating and controversial development in money and finance in generations. And the underlying blockchain technology has the potential to revolutionize aspects of our economy, upending many established companies, and even entire industries.
But outside of the exciting future that Bitcoin and the blockchain technology holds, is just how fast the currencies have appreciated.
For example, an alert investor who put $1,000 into Ark crypto at its launch could have cashed out a month later with up to $1,020,000.
Another crypto, called NEO, launched at 3.2 cents… and later hit $162.11. That’s a 5,066-fold gain. If you had bought $1,000 of it at the start you could have walked away with $5.1 million.
And while we continue to like big name coins like Ethereum, Binance and Bitcoin, there’s another name that we like even more: Avalanche (AVAX).
Avalanche describes itself as an “open, programmable smart contracts platform for decentralized applications.”
Avalanche’s subnet feature is increasing adoption, with more than 380 projects built on the platform. And its exceptionally fast settlement time and lower costs than alternative blockchains have investors extremely interested. In fact, its platform is said to be able to handle 4,5000 transactions per second. For comparison, one of Avalanches top competitors’ (Ethereum) transactional throughput is 14 transactions per second.
This upstart digital currency is just now catching the attention of investors, but there’s plenty of time to hop on board and ride this currency to massive potential gains.
3. A Hedge for Looming Hyper-Inflation?
2021 saw increased inflationary pressure. However, the Federal Reserve called it “transitory” inflation, meaning it would move on and we’d go back to the Fed’s 2% inflation target.
But anybody who’s purchased groceries, gasoline, or goods knows that it’s all but transitory… and price continue to keep climbing fast.
As the Fed turns of the printing presses and raise interest rates to combat inflation, we could see a major selloff.
Just think back to 2013, when the Fed simply hinted it would start tapering, we saw markets tumble. Then in 2015, when the Fed turned off the presses the Nasdaq declined 20%.
Again, in the fourth quarter of 2018… the money-printing machines were unplugged, and the Nasdaq tumbled roughly 24%.
A repeat selloff could be vicious.
When the easy money dries up, borrowers have to start competing for funds and interest rate will rise. We could see the bond market go into a temper tantrum that could everything from stocks to pension funds to insurance companies to banks.
To get an idea of what could happen, one only needs to go back to the 1994 bond market crisis. After a period of historically low rates (to combat the 1991 recession), the Fed raised interest rates to combat inflation.
Sound familiar?
The increase in rates prompted a mass sell0off of bonds and debt funds worldwide. Bonds lost about $1.5 trillion in market value globally.
The yields on 30-year US Treasury Bonds jumped from around 6% to over 8%. While that may sound like a nice yield, we have to remember the prices and yields have an inverse relationship.
So as yields went up, prices tanked. And it doesn’t matter how big the yield is if you’re capital depreciation crumbles.
One way to profit from this is to short Treasury Bonds, which means if bond prices fall (yields go up) then you make money.
If shorting something sounds scary or complicated, don’t worry. Here are two exchange-traded funds (ETFs) that do all the work for you. You simply buy these funds, which gives you short exposure to long-dated Treasuries.
Please, be aware that these are leveraged ETFs, which means they will move more dramatically than the underlying market. For example, a 1% move in the markets translates into a 2% or 3% move with these ETFs.
Here are two ETFs (they are pretty much the same, so it doesn’t really matter which one you pick):
- Direxion Daily 20+ Year Treasury Bear 3X ETF (NYSE: TMV)
- Proshares UltraPro Short 20+ Year Treasury ETF (NYSE: TTT)
4. This “Odd” Water-Play For 2022 Could Hand Out a Geyser of Profits
Few Americans realize what a luxury it is to turn on the faucet for a glass of clear, clean, cool water.
But not everyone is so lucky… even folks in America.
You might recall the water crisis in Flint, Michigan, that surfaced in 2014. Over 100,000 residents were potentially exposed to high levels of lead in the drinking water.
Then there was the water crisis in California… thanks to a prolonged drought, the state announced its first-ever mandatory water restrictions. And that doesn’t even touch on the fact the state has its own problem of getting clean, safe drinking water to hundreds of thousands of its residents.
And this is only a couple of isolated examples in the United States. You look at this from a global perspective and it’s easy to see that water — arguably our most valuable commodity — is an important topic for every single country in the world.
Believe it or not, more than one billion people each day don’t get enough water to drink, bathe, or wash clothes.
Water is a critical resource that will see billions of dollars getting poured into it, and companies that serve this industry will be in high demand for years to come.

One such company that has positioned itself very well is Vidler Water Resources (Nasdaq: VWTR).
This small ($225 million market capitalization company) focuses on developing, storing, and suppling water to areas mainly in the Southwest.
The company leases its water rights to cities and large companies. For example, the company announced in December 2021 that an alternative energy company purchased over 53,000 Long Term Storage Credits (“LTSC”). Vidler charges $400 per LTSC credit, meaning the company will rake in more than $21 million in revenue from the transaction.
The company is in works to lease and sale its remaining inventory of credits, which currently stands at more than 27,000.
Buy Vidler Water Resources (VWTR) up to $13 per share.
5. The “Miracle-Fiber,” 35x Stronger than Steel, Could Line Your Pockets with Cash
This is probably one of the most fascinating developments that no one is talking about…
We’ve all heard of laser technology, electromagnetic pulse weapons, specialized drones, and some of the other smart weapons creeping onto today’s battlefield.
But a tiny company in Ann Arbor is working on a development that sounds as if it could have come out of Tony Stark’s laboratory — the fictional Marvel superhero Iron Man.
It’s called “spider silk technology.”
![]()
Yes. This is actually a thing. And it’s as mind-blowing as it sounds. Kraig Biocraft Laboratories (OTC: KBLB) has developed proprietary genetic engineering technology and has successfully produced next-generation polymers and protein-based fibers that include recombinant spider silk.
Spider silk (yes, the stuff they make webs out of) is known as one of the strongest organic fibers on the planet. However, man has never been able to synthesize spider silk effectively.
Until now.
From the company’s brand new research and production facility, in Vietnam, Kraig Labs has nurtured a breed of genetically modified silkworms that can produce spider silk. The industrial and consumer potential in this development is enormous.
And it’s already bearing fruit.
In 2016, Kraig Labs won a $1 million contract from the Department of Defense to develop protective clothing for the Army using spider silk technology. That contract was renewed and extended in 2017, and the company delivered its first batch of Dragon Silk ballistic panels for evaluation.
In December 2021, the company announced the production of its fourth-generation recombinant spider silk silkworms in its brand-new facility. The company also announced it will be selling its custom yarns and composite fabrics under its joint venture SpydaSilk brand.
The goal is to develop lighter, more comfortable protective gear for combat troops.
The civilian application of the company’s spider fiber technology is also promising. Because the recombinant spider silk is organic, it’s biodegradable and shows promise in multiple industrial and medical applications.
While the technology is nothing short of blindingly amazing, the company is considered a micro-cap stock. With a share price below $0.10, Kraig Labs has a consolidated market cap around $90 million. In other words, this stock is a speculative play in every sense.
It doesn’t currently generate any sales or profits, as it continues to refine its product and land military and civilian contracts. But it does have a good amount of cash on hand (more than $2.7 million) and seems to be heading in the right direction.
Again, the thesis of buying KBLB is the idea, which is clearly revolutionary, and the fact that the stock is flying under the radar — for now.
This over-the-counter stock is on the risky side but consider buying shares up to $0.11 per share.
6. Flying Cars… Finally a Reality in 2022?
Man has been chasing the dream of a flying car for more than a century. And as road and freeways become more and more congested, the need for this dream to become reality will be met with sudden urgency.
And surprisingly the industry that brings flying cars to the masses could be the Taxi market.
According to a Morgan Stanley Research study, the electric air taxi market should continue to mature and soar to $1.5 trillion globally by 2040.
That’s a big market, and a company that just made its public debut in August 2021 is looking to gobble up its fair share of the burgeoning market.

The little-known company hoping to propel this futuristic market is Joby Aviation (NYSE: JOBY).
Headquartered in Santa Cruz, California, Joby has leading innovation in the vertical takeoff air taxi space since its founding in 2009.
Seven engineers gathered in a barn and worked day and night to explore and develop electric vertical take-off and landing aircraft, better known with the catch acronym “eVTOL.”
These oversized drone looking machines even caught the attention of NASA back in 2012. NASA chose to collaborate with Joby on multiple groundbreaking electric flight projects.

Fast forward to today, and Joby Aviation’s eVTOL aircraft has progress from prototype to the best-in-class eVTOL with a top speed of 200 mph and a 150-mile range.
Another groundbreaking moment came in 2020 when Joby became the first eVTOL company to receive airworthiness approval from the U.S. Air Force.
Joby is currently working towards its “G-1” certification with the FAA, which would certify its aircraft for commercial flights.
The company broke ground on a large-scale manufacturing facility in 2021, and by 2023 it’s hoping its aircrafts are fully certified and eyeing commercial operations in 2024.
The future is bright for Joby Aviation, and other companies are taking notice as well. It’s landed partnerships with Toyota, Uber, and JetBlue. It was also named to Fast Company’s annual list of the World’s Most Innovative Companies for 2021.
Flying cars are much closer to reality than many might expect, and before you know it, your next Taxi or Uber ride could be a quick flight across town.
To get in on this revolutionary industry, buy Joby Aviation (JOBY) up to $9 per share.
7. Wild Weather from America’s Megadrought Could Make Wheat Worth its Weight in Gold
2021 saw heat records fall left and right. We’ve seen a massive surge in wildfires as temperatures climb and precipitation drops.
Some call it “Climate Change” others might call it something else. Whatever is going on, one thing we can all agree on is that we’re seeing major drought conditions.
Now, there have always been droughts throughout history, but the current drought that we’re experiencing — what some scientists are calling a “megadrought” — is by far the worst on record.
It’s so bad, that some farmers simply opted out of planting crops at all this year as they know they will certainly fail.
Even those that decided to plant, saw terrible yields. According to a July 13, 2021 report from the North Dakota Wheat Commission, 50% of its wheat crops rated poor or very poor. The same report showed that only 16% of the U.S. spring wheat crop rated good to excellent. The worst conditions in over 30 years.
And a July 6, 2021 report from the USDA, showed that approximately 98% of the country’s spring wheat production is in an area experiencing drought conditions.
While you may not have heard about these poor crop conditions, you may have noticed the effects at the grocery store.
Poor yields lead to less product, and the demand for flour surely hasn’t decreased. Which gives us a classic supply/demand problem. When demand outpaces supply, prices rise, which means that loaf of bread or bag of flour has increased in price.
The price of a bushel of wheat has nearly doubled in the last two years (pre-covid). And the drought conditions aren’t helping future production, which means we can expect the price of wheat to keep creeping up.
Now to take advantage of this, you don’t need to run out and stock up on bags of Gold Medal flour, hoping to sell it to your neighbor for more in a few months.
There’s a much easier way… and that’s through an exchange-traded fund (ETF) that tracks the price movements of wheat. That ETF is Teacrium Wheat (NYSE: WEAT).
To take advantage of our bullish wheat thesis, buy Teacrium Wheat (WEAT) up to $8 per share.
